Story
In July 2008, after an 8 month battle, I lost my dear Dad to Pancreatic Cancer. Always the life of the party, this terrible disease took him far too soon from our family. I'm fundraising so that no other family has to endure the loss we experienced, and to provide hope for those currently fighting this disease.
In 2018 in excess of 3,100 Australians are estimated to be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Only 8% of Pancreatic Cancer patients survive more than five years and the median survival rate is between three and six months.
The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is the only Foundation in Australia dedicated exclusively to Pancreatic Cancer.
The Vision of the Foundation is - "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020"
I am aiming to raise money to assist the Avner Foundation in achieving this vision and I welcome any contribution, great or small, that you can make!
We miss you everyday Dad xo
